Disciplinary Committee strikes off Wirral vet

The Disciplinary Committee of the RCVS on Friday [24 May] directed that a Wirral-based veterinary surgeon should be removed from the Register after finding that he had treated clients badly, kept inadequate clinical records, was dishonest in dealing with the RCVS, and that animals in his care were placed at risk.

RCVS calls for a Private Members’ Bill to protect VN title

We have written to the MPs drawn in today’s private members’ Bill ballot to call upon them to introduce legislation to protect the title ‘veterinary nurse’ and introduce an effective regulatory system that would ensure that those veterinary nurses found guilty of serious professional misconduct were prevented from carrying out medical treatment to or surgery on animals.

Disciplinary Committee strikes off Wiltshire vet

The Disciplinary Committee of the RCVS last week [3 May] struck off the Register a veterinary surgeon for charges relating to tuberculin (TB) testing on cattle that he undertook and certified at four farms during June and July of 2010.
