Independent Disciplinary Committees – Veterinary Surgeons Act amended
On Saturday 6 April, the Legislative Reform Order (LRO) to reconstitute the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) disciplinary committees separately from its Council came into force and has amended the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 (VSA).

Disciplinary Committee severely reprimands London vet
The Disciplinary Committee of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) yesterday [20 March] severely reprimanded and warned as to his future conduct a veterinary surgeon who failed to make sufficient enquiries about the location or condition of a cat; unreasonably refused to provide it with first aid and pain relief; and failed to provide it with adequate 24-hour emergency care.
